Aaah yes, Fast and Furious, the ultimate guilty pleasure!  I want to keep up a certain standard with movies I watch, but F&Fs overdrawn-ness, the constant comparison of penis length between the male characters and the blatant sexism have managed to melt even a heart as cynic as mine.  On a side note, I have to disagree here, and say that I think Tyrese Gibson is one of the more entertaining aspects of the movies. I kind of feel like his "humor" is more based on actual jokes rather than the smugness and arrogance that all the other characters carry themselves with. |

They were comparing themselves to Charlize Theron. As for Tyrese, I have to admit that I get really sick of comedic relief-type characters. Why do we always need the idiot who has to spell everything out for the audience... beyond the obvious bad writing? It really gets tiresome after a while. |

That's true, and he IS an extremely badly written character, but I still think he is a tad more entertaining than, say, the total train wreck that Paul Walker is.

At least Paul Walker has somewhat of an emotional range and a mild screen prescense. I'm sorry, did I just defend Paul Walkers acting skills?  |

I do believe you did defend Paul Walker's acting technique and that takes balls, Dirty. =)

Oh Dirty, that post made me very,. very happy! Paul Walker does have a "tension"-face though, with which he expresses, jup, you guessed it, emotional or physical tension. He just sort of bloats his nostrils and does a weird thing with his lips.  Here you can even see the "tension"-face in motion.  Walker also applies this acting technique in movies that are not fast and/or furious.  |

Hey all that said, Walker is not that bad and I certainly don't NOT watch a movie cause he's in it.
What was that one where he was running around with that little kid?
Running scared?
I thoght that was one of his better performances.

That came from the big '05-'06 over-stylized movies list. Running Scared, Smokin' Aces, Assault on Precinct 13, Alpha Dog, ATL, etc. Good times.

Running Scared was awesome, but more so because of the script and the very convincing bad guys. Walker didn't ruin the movie, but come on, anyone could have done that part as good as him.
