Any particular character from any film/ tv who you would class as your favourites?
Like George Bailey, for example.

Very nice. Mr Blonde was a bit too cold for my liking. I was always partial to Mr Pink myself.
Hans is a brilliant baddie.
Elle Driver might be one of my favourites, one question I posed to my first years last semester was is cool a gendered term. I feel Elle challenges this genderisation.

Elle was cool and if Tarantino ever gets around to Vol. 3 (based on what's been passed around), Elle will be cool in that, too, probably.
Yeah, but Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. Pussy. Plus he gets arrested. That's not cool. Lol. =)

I know he is based on a real-life character, but Ed Harris and his depiction of Gene Kranz was really good.

Yeah and he should've won the Oscar for it that year, too...

He was overshadowed by the much more showy role done by Kevin Spacey.

Are you talking about Apollo 13?

Indeed we are. He got overshadowed by Kevin Spacey in "The Usual Suspects" AND "Se7en". Lol.

Se7en was as showy a role. The Usual Suspects is all about a twist. What if it ended with Keaton being Soze, Verbal walks out and it ends ambiguously? Guaranteed no Oscar for Spacey there. Ed Harris in Apollo 13 was really the anchor for the film. He never panicked, he just wanted to get the astronauts home.

Hmmm tough call. Here's a few, somewhat oddball perhaps, that spring ot mind....
John Ryder (Rutger Hauer, of course...)
The Dude (Jeff Bridges in the role he was born to play)
Kevin Spacey in K-Pax (was the character called K-Pax or was that his planet???)
Sara Goldfarb (Played by the brilliant Ellen Burstyn in Requiem For a Dream)
Blade (A bit cheesy perhaps but Wesley plays him well)
There's more. Lots more.

The dude - good call. Perhaps a Jeff section is in order.

He does deserve it. I bet he loves Pink Floyd, if you know what I mean... =)

Jeff absolutely needs his own thread! The guy gets better with age. Not Beau though.
