Was able to recently catch this film in theaters. It is written by Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon; being directed by Goddard.
The basic premise involves 5 kids who go to the previously-mentioned "cabin in the woods" for a weekend. These kids, though, are unwittingly pawns in something larger.
Writing a review for this film is difficult, as knowing as little about it is better for the viewer. There is more going on, and a lot of surprises await the viewer.
This will be a love/hate film. I think if someone knows that this will not be a standard horror film, and instead be a high-concept horror/comedy that is smart, the viewer will likely enjoy the film more.
There is a point where the film will jump off the rails and you will either go with the ride, or really hate the film. Either way, it will get a reaction out of you.
I highly recommend the film to anyone who enjoys horror and cleverly-written films.

Worth checking out, but just make sure you know it isn't a straight-up horror film.

Just as a head's up, Dirty, sounds like Cabin is going straight-to-dvd in Australia. Just something to keep an eye on if you're interested.

Either way, definitely worth checking out. If Neenee as here, I know she'd put up a much better review than mine
