He should have already had a thread, but we shall make up for it now. Share your thoughts of the man who has always looked 70. EDIT: Your thread title read "Tommy Lee JonesHe Shou". Fixed.

Let us start with good ol' "No Country".
When he's talking about the old, naked guy running around in a dog collar.
"You can't make up such a thing. How dare you to even try."
Good times.

I desperately want to find a photo of him stranded on the moon at the end of Space Cowboys.

Double Jeopardy - I thought he was cool in that, he was just, Tommy, you know?
Men In Black - stole the show.

I think films that play to the "straight man" type of TLJ work the best. His laid back, yet gruff demeanor suits him and most of his entertaining roles come from that.

He has understated charisma which I think only Jimmy Stewart can show. It is his own unique style and that is so rare to actors today.
For example, I am Clint Eastwood's biggest fan but the explicit homage to Stewart he consistently plays ties in with his similar characters. While Tommy is similar in his specific role, it is completely his own. Like he is just damn knackered and has wandered into the film owning it on his way.
I just think he is a rugged, old school character.

I agree, we need more actors who aren't all polished and just doing whatever their agent says. TLJ and Clint are their own men, and that's who they are. Most people appreciate someone who doesn't try to be someone they aren't. And those 2 would never try to appease anyone.

Gene Hackman carries that good ol' style with him, too. =)
