Simon Skinner is a character from Hot Fuzz, played brilliantly Timothy Dalton. The character is set up as an obvious villain, but Simon is able to elude the heroes of the film for a long period of time. Timothy Dalton has an absolute blast with this character in the film, and I would even go so far as to say, he should have gotten an Oscar nomination for this role. Just my 2 cents on a random film role. Enjoy this smug picture of the great, Simon Skinner.

You know, I've still yet to see that all the way through. I've tried a couple times to catch it when it's on but I never seem to finish. One of these days, I'll have to actually sit down and try to enjoy watching Timothy Dalton playing a villain with a cookie duster...

In other words, he was never meant to be Bond? He should've continued to Simon Skinner his whole career?

Simon Skinner is still alive. Not sure if a whole feature is warranted. And not a big fan if Bond so my opinion of him as Bond should be taken with a grain of salt.

There is something obscure and fascinating having a man like that running the local Somerfield - which we all know is the weakest supermarket.

It's probably the Stop & Shop from Across the Pond... Lol.

I don't know what a stop and shop is. Sorry.
Somerfield is a 'supermarket' but they are generally really small compared to their counterparts. The prices are shocking but most of them have been taken over now. It was a bit of a joke about Somerfield when I was at uni as an undergraduate, so it is one of the things that has always stuck in my memory - the big bad chain that is actually as floundering as the small local shop which is seeks to usurp.

Sounds just like Stop & Shop. Supermarket. Over-fucking-priced and they put it right next to a Wal-Mart. I hate Stop & Shop.

Walmart looks cool, like you have everything in one place for bargain prices. Like three copies of timecop for £5.
