Theres no such thing as creativity in Hollywood anymore. Hence why Michael Bay is a top-tier director or why Battleship gets made at all.

Funny thing: Battleship actually had the makings of a cool-sounding idea (it's in the script still, as far as I know).
Basically, the US gets attacked from what looks to be either China or North Korea. So, the country gets on full alert mode and the makings of World War III (which is what I'd picture Battleship the movie being). But, instead, that gets called off when the aliens show up.

Right cause Peter Berg said they chose aliens cause they didnt want to offend a country. Cause yeah, I remember distinctly saying you sunk my alien battleship!

Sure. You remember when Battleship was cool. Everyone would be fighting over who got to play the aliens and who HAD TO BE the humans...
Ah, the good old days.

It is upcoming. Might as well have a thread for it. Maybe reactions after someone has seen it.

In my opinion anything with Rihanna in will be as good as Rosie Huntington Whiteley's chances of getting an oscar.

The film just looks like Transformers at sea but I know I will see it just because I like noisy films in the cinema.
Peter Berg started out okay as a director with Friday Night Lights and The Kingdom but he is on a slippery slope

Absolutely agree neenee. There could have been something here, but it looks to just be a CGI and noise film. I miss the Peter Berg who gave us Friday Night Lights. Bigger budget doesnt always make a better film.

Why can't Peter Berg just go back to being the annoying main character kid from "Shocker" and white rice cop from "Collateral"?
