What can be said about this modern marvel of actororial arts ... I remember him fondly in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Casey Jones...then he has swept movies since as the best friend or the enemy but always chewing up the movie terrain and making the movie better than originally was meant to be, I mean look at Zodiac...Who doesn't say that was not one of his finest movie acting moments? or my favorite of a recently watched film called A Thin Red Line... He owned that movie and deserve oscar gold for that performance...He does deserve alot of praise and very underated.... What are all your thoughts on this thespian of art?

I think he's great. He's one of those guys that I keep seeing in movies, I recognise him but can't work out who he is. Then all of a sudden I work it out and go "OF COURSE!"
Phillip Seymour Hoffman is another one of those "incognito" actors who just blend in to the movies and you (well, I) don't always pick up on who it is immediately.

Absolutely love him as Vaughn in Cronenberg's Crash. Say what you want about the film as a whole, his performance was a total embodiment of that sleazy, charismatic and thoughtful character.

Koteas is amazing. Been a favorite of mine for years. Had hoped he might have gotten a nomination for Zodiac after Ruffalo did. Unfortunately neither were nominated.
