Amongst other things, was Deckard a replicant?
I prefer the directors cut, which leaves it more open, if anyone is going to get smart!

If forced at gunpoint to name a single favourite film, Blade Runner would probably be it.
And yes, he's a replicant. In fact the director's cut (and the final cut) makes it more obvious, not ambiguous.

Unicorn.
Answer is absolutely. And, I will never like "Blade Runner". Not in my entire lifetime.

I'll keep it simple until I can type regular again. It's because I'm not a fan of Ridley Scott's filmmaking style. I can certainly appreciate his attention to detail but there isn't a single movie of his I thoroughly enjoy.

What do you by "filmmaking style"?

He chooses movies that are no fun and typically epics. While I don't require a fun movie, I do like to enjoy myself when I watch.

I actually thought there was a twisted fun to blade runner; an ironic take on the world played out in a setting that contrasted some kind of circus with the Gothic. I know that sounds pretentious and dramatic so I hope someone knows what I mean here, but there was something fascinating about it as well as being an interesting film.

I knows what the Flashes means but there's still minimal amounts of fun to be had in the context of a normal sit-through-a-movie-then-forget-it-two-hours-later kind of way. Schwarzenegger movies, mostly, are fun whereas Blade Runner is a well-made movie but true fun is at a premium. =)

I think I know what you mean, but surely Thelma & Louise and Gladiator are fun? The latter especially revels in its own spectacle.

Overall, I enjoy Thelma & Louise but I wouldn't go so far as to call it fun. And, I hated Gladiator and all 27 of its fucking TV spots...

What films ARE fun? In other words what are your favourite films?
I suppose Shoah isn't one of them.
