Wow. I played all three games over a time span of about six or seven months, and haven't really played any other game besides ME. An intense ride, that's for sure. I know people have been nagging about the possible ME3 endings (for those of you who played the game, I picked the "Synthesis" ending), but since I've been avoiding spoilers for this game like the pest I actually quite enjoyed it - especially since I believe I picked the most positive ending (even though Anderson, Garrus and James, my three favorites, beside Jack, all died) Anyway, if you haven't played any ME, give it a try. I nearly stopped after the first game, cause my insanely high expectations and the rather clumsy execution (for me) didn't really fit together very well. Still, ME2 might be one of the best games ever made. ME3 did rush the ending a little bit, but was not short of epic, breathtaking and visually stunning moments.

I've heard good stuff and intend to get them at some point but haven't gotten around to it. There was some intense hate over the ending but I liked the sound of what I heard. Maybe it's in the context of the other two games that people didn't like it...

How can I help you, Johnny? I'm a wanna-be expert on the games now. ;D Blondie, you should really get it. A slighty-butched ending isn't enough to ruin a franchise as brilliant as this one. I just pretend that the game ended five minutes before the actual ending, and that makes me sleep well at night.

I don't own any of them. Like I said, I plan to in time, but I'm in no particular rush.

You mean how to survive the ME3 ending? Yeah, I have no idea how that's supposed to work. But I do think that Shepard dying should be inevitable, since, hey, the game doesn't really feel like it's going for a happy end anyway. Other than that, during the suicide mission in the end of ME2, I had no idea that you had any control (however indirect it might be) over who would die. Luckily, in my playthrough, the ones that died were a perfect tragic combination of characters I didn't like (Miranda), didn't care about all that much (Legion) and ones whose death sort of made sense, in a very sad and heartbreaking way (Tali and Thane). My two absolute favorite team members, Garrus and Jack, survived, more by accident than planned intervention. ;D

Isn't it better to kill off the characters you like so you get a better, more important feeling of their deaths? =)

Can I give you a warning, Johnny? For the very final mission in ME3, pick your team members carefully. Cause they will die a very undramatic death. (I couldn't save Garrus after all... sniffles!)

I'll admit that I wasn't a big fan of Marston. He was too "good". I've kind of been getting tired of Rockstar's faux-good guys lately. I think that's why Tommy Vercetti still resonates so much with people who like Rockstar games...
